Nigel O’Sullivan is the Chief Investment Adviser to the Chief Investment Officer, a Director of Perspective Capital Management Limited, and a member of the Investment Advisory Committee.
Nigel has been involved in investment management since 1987, with specialist experience in investment management, asset allocation, and sophisticated strategies incorporating derivatives. Previously, Nigel worked at Goldman Sachs, where he was a partner and head of their Pension and Investment Strategy Group which advised the largest pension funds and insurance companies in the UK and across Northern Europe on their investments. During his tenure, there were a number of downturns and he worked with many clients on how to manage their solvency and make money in bear markets, especially the Great Financial Crisis. Also, Nigel was Chairman of the Investment Committee for The Goldman Sachs Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Pension Funds. Prior to that, Nigel was at Bacon & Woodrow, a leading firm of Actuaries, where he became their youngest equity partner, and was responsible for developing their International Investment Consulting area, and where he worked as financial adviser to some very high net worth individuals. Nigel has an Actuarial Science degree from City University (now CASS) and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
